Start in Ouarzazate, the “gateway to the desert.” Traverse the Plateau Faija and camp between the magnificent dunes of Chegaga and Bougarn before emerging from the desert’s calm and returning to bustling Marrakech. Watch the landscape’s shifting shadows as you alternate between steady trekking and restful siestas beneath a cool canopy.

Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel. After immigration and baggage claim, exit to meet our team. Exchange money inside the airport if needed. You’ll be taken to your riad; a staff member may help with bags nearby. Spend the afternoon exploring the medina and souks. A pre-trek briefing with your guide takes place at 7:00 PM in the riad foyer.

Depart early, crossing the High Atlas peaks via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m). Enjoy mountain views, then stop in Telouet to visit the Glaoui Kasbah, former home of the “Lord of the Atlas.” Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” and travel through the Drâa Valley and Zagora’s hillside settlements. End the night camping on the Faija Plateau.
